Favor...?

2 min read
I'm still not going to be back for very long and all of the info in regards to that can generally be found in my last journal, but I'd like to ask a favor of you guys, if you don't mind.

A friend I had as a little kid had her car broken into and needs to pay for some repairs. She sells stuff on esty.com, so if you could give her stuff a look through or recommend her work to others, that would be appreciated. If not, no biggie.

You can check out her stuff HERE

I purchased a couple of her drawings to help out a bit and I'll probably post photos of them (I don't have the actual pictures yet, but she had photos of them) soonish, since I haven't posted anything in a good long while.

Later.

-----------------------------------
EDIT: She had her car broken into again and this time the person stole $200 worth of expensive drawing pens that were hidden in her car (and just that). I'm starting to think that someone is targeting her for some petty reason.

I'm Still Here

5 min read
Hi, I'm just popping on to point out that I am, in fact, still alive. It's um...well, it's been a couple months short of a year or something since I've last logged on, hasn't it? Wow, it doesn't feel like that long. How times flies.

I've been rather busy with school and work since any of you have heard from me. Oh, that's something you haven't heard about - I'm on a team of researchers working for my university and the government now. It's not nearly as glamorous as it sounds, but it's something, I suppose.

I draw about as much as I always have...which basically means "sporadically with months in between each significant doodle". I've drawn quite a few sketches (maybe a dozen) and have worked on the banner I mentioned (a long time ago), but most of my sketches were gifts, so I don't have them anymore and can't really share them for the most part. Sorry about that. My camera battery is dead and I misplaced my charger about a year or so ago (a "cheap" replacement shouldn't cost as much as a Wii U), so I'm lacking my primary means of sharing things with you guys at the moment. I took some pictures of a few things with my 3DS, but the quality kind of sucks and I have to get around to actually taking them off...which could be awhile, since I'm kind of a procrastinator. I'll get to it at some point though. Crappy pictures or not.

(And, before you ask why I didn't scan or take a picture of the art with my phone: Scanners in my possession mysteriously get up and walk away. Box that I brought them home in and all. You leave it on the table for five minutes and then it's gone, never to be seen again. As for my phone - its photos are even worse quality than my 3DS. I still use my first phone and it's probably about 6-7 years old now. I refuse to replace it, because it has been lit on fire and didn't even melt in the slightest. I abuse phones, since I generally hate using them, so when one survives fire, I just HAVE to keep it. Samsung is the new Nokia, apparently.)

I met a bunch of independent film directors, Gordon Quinn from "Kartemquin Films," and Johnny Yong Bosch thus far this year. Also, my one friend went and got my Blue Exorcist shirt and a Fire Emblem: Awakening art book signed by Bryce Papenbrook for me (Henry isn't even in the book. What kind of bullshit is that? Oh, well...). (I have some really awesome friends   ) It was a bit of a chain process getting the merchandise back to me, but my lil bro was pretty stoked with his graduation gift (signed book). He's kind of a gaming nut and Papenbrook is in a lot of the stuff he stumbles across. It would have been cool to meet Papenbrook in person, but the signed shirt is cool too.

On another note, my hot water tank exploded and my house was flooded. Cold showers are oh so much fun. Ugh...

Hmm...what else...
My one friend, :iconblackbullet217:, snapped two of his metatarsals in half and severed a bunch of ligaments in his foot. He got his cast off today, so that's good. He still can't walk on it for about another 4-5 months though. And my big sister (from another mister), :iconchishikichan13:, got back from Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto) a couple weeks ago. She brought back a CD by my favorite band for me. Specifically, the single "Chase" by L'Arc~en~Ciel. I already have digital versions of all of their songs, but she knows that Chase has my favorite cover art and that I prefer having CD's or vinyl to digital copies of music. (Unfortunately, international purchases of CD's get expensive quickly.) My friends watched me giggle uncontrollably for 45 minutes afterwards and I kept showing it off to people for the remainder of the day. I'm just that kind of crazy.

Otherwise, I can't really think of anything, aside from my standard workaholic stuff that has only intensified in the past year...

I guess that's it, then, minus the odd creeper/stalker that's not really worth mentioning in detail. My life has sort of quieted down, in comparison to how hectic and generally unusual it has been for majority of my life. Seems almost a bit boring now though. It's still nice...just a bit mundane. Unfortunately, mundane does not mean that I have the time to sleep all of a sudden. That's still not really a thing.

I hope everyone has been doing well. I would like to say that I'll be back with pictures soon...but a lot are trapped on my camera and I probably won't be back for a good long while again. If you've been waiting around for more art or something this whole time, thanks. :heart: I'd hate to ask you to wait longer, but I don't really have much of a choice at the moment... I'm so sorry. Try to bear with me, if you can. ^^;

Well...

4 min read
Took this from :iconvideogeek95:. It seemed interesting enough.

James Lipton: We begin our class room with the Questionnaire that was used to such great effect for 26 years by the best talk show host whose ever lived, his name is Bernard Pivot. (BEAR-nard PEE-vou.)

1. What is your favorite word?: "Brilliant"...? (It used to be "bizarre", but I think it's "brilliant" now. It's probably my most-used compliment/sarcastic statement.)

2. What is your least favorite word?: Faggot/Fag. (I know and am related to some wonderful homosexual people. "Faggot" is a term for a bundle of kindling bound together and "Fag" is a term for a cigarette. Neither is a term for a human being. In fact, cigarettes are really gross. If you want to compare yourself to a cigarette, that's one thing, but leave other people out of it. Not to mention that "faggot" sounds like "maggot". Just the sound of double G's and then an O is unpleasant sounding.)

3. What turns you on? (Or what boosts your morale): Being told I've done a good job boosts my morale, I guess...? Um, I like being around nice people...? I don't know. I'm a pessimist.

4. What turns you off?: A lot of things.
Jerks, bullies, narcissists, sexists, racists, etc.

5. What sound or noise do you love?: The sound of light rain hitting glass is kind of nice.

6. What sound or noise do you hate?: Anything scratchy, staticy (not even a word, but I'm making it one), high pitch, or really low pitch - if you can feel the vibration, it's hurting my ear and chest. [Don't ask.] Like those downloads for your phone to test how well you can hear, television static, a dog whistle, or your stereotypical rave thumping bass. I hate those things.

7. What is your favorite curse word?: Shit. Not really sure it is my favorite, or that I even have a favorite, but it's definitely my most used. Probably followed up by "bastard" and "f***".

8. What job or profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt? (Just pretend you already have the job you plan to do, this job is the one you'd like to try.): I'm already going for the one I would like to try, so I'll pick something else... Voice actor for video games and stuff, maybe? I used to do impressions of other people and characters from movies when I was younger, so I think that might be interesting. I also have knowledge about theatrical acting and practicing lines in character isn't really any different.

9. What profession would you not like to do?: Ooh, so many. Anything with food is a HUGE no, but being a Pop-Star would probably be the worst thing imaginable. I don't like the idea of people telling me where I can go, when I can go, what I can eat, when I can eat it, what I have to wear, how I have to wear it, what I should look like, how I should carry myself, etc. I also couldn't handle people creeping on me, because I like my privacy. And I'm completely mortified of singing. Especially in front of other people. I made one exception to singing in my whole entire life and that's because I cared more about my grade than I did my mental/emotional state for the rest of eternity. Still debating whether or not that was a good idea. And I don't dance. I just don't do it. I'm the opposite of a pop-star in personality, so that would be like Hell for me.

10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?: "You're early. You have to go back for now, but there will be a spot waiting for you when you return."

Phrase(s) of the day:

Me: Well, isn't that just a sharp kick to the mother****ing kidneys...

My response to my best friend showing me a picture with Alexander/Nina chimera and dead Hughes jokes (FMA), after another close friend said it was the saddest thing she had seen all day.

College and...

2 min read
So, I got three textbooks delivered to me today. The first one makes me laugh in a "I probably shouldn't be laughing" sort of way, because it was delivered at about 2:40am. I didn't even know people delivered stuff that late (early?).

Yes. Shady delivery is indeed shady. :iconlamontplz:

The other two books are not nearly as interesting -- The second took forever to get here (much like the first) and came to me about noon. The third book came at the same time and was ordered Friday evening, but whoever packaged it SERIOUSLY loved bubble wrap. So, nothing too eventful there.

In other news, I'm a seeing-eye-human for my mother today, since she lost her glasses and, quite frankly, is blind without them. It cut my prior plans today a little short, but it was otherwise a good day. After all, what can you do? I'm the only one that doesn't need glasses. (Eat your veggies, kiddies. They're good for you.)

Let's see, what else... Ah, I got kicked in the boob early Sunday morning. That was interesting. Somewhat painful, as well. Mostly unusual though. I don't know what it is with women and accidental encounters with my chest, but it seems to be a reoccurring thing. I guess I should just be grateful that it's not a thing with guys...?

So, yeah... Nothing much, but I'll be back in college this time next week, so I'll probably be scarce again. That's all, really. The rest was just formalities...I felt the need to fill space.

Phrase(s) of the Day:

:iconchishikichan13:: I think I just broke your leg...
:iconzombie-necromancer23:: It's okay.

We were playing video games. The controller I was using was broken and making me do suicidal backflips into the abyss anyway. Either way, the conversation is sort of funny sounding out of context.

I have less than two weeks before the semester begins and I still don't have any information for who my one professor is or what textbooks I need to buy. :rage:

...I guess the death of P$ left quite an organizational gap... :(

So, yeah, I'm busy as ever and have been even more so this summer and that doesn't seem to be changing any time soon, regardless of the semester starting soon. And, oh, joy. My family is starting to hassle me about my upcoming birthday already. :unimpressed: In case it wasn't obvious, I don't like my birthday, so that's always super

In other news, I've had this horrible headache for over a week now and I think it's starting to make me feel ill. Because college isn't complete without pain and misery of some sort. :headache:

Oh, and would you look at that...I actually bothered to use emoticons today... Heh, how do you like that...

I've also been doing a bit of music swapping with my lil bro this summer. (Swearing inclusive.)

A bit of his stuff:
1. I Fight Dragons - "Move" *If video link sucks, copy and paste:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QkEaf…
2. I Fight Dragons - "cRaZie$" *If video link sucks, copy and paste: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p5wGS…
3. Ludo - "Laundry Girl"  *If video link sucks, copy and paste: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuW5ox…
9. Lindsey Stirling - "Zelda Medley" *Note: Maybe you'll recognize it from the 2012 Olympics

Also, I turned my lil bro on to watching Blue Exorcist (English dub) that I only watched the subbed version of (with the exception of the first two dubbed episodes). Meanwhile, he's turned me on to Sword Art Online (English dub), which he watched the subbed version of. We're actually both watching SAO in English now, since it started airing on tv a few weeks ago. Between the two of us, we have concluded that Bryce Papenbrook (English dub voice of Rin from Blue Exorcist and Kirito from Sword Art Online) is somehow infecting everything we watch now. Don't get me wrong, I like Papenbrook, but he's seriously showing up everywhere these days and it's getting a little nuts.

We'll, that's it for now, I guess. Later.
:salute:

Phrase(s) of the Day:

*earlier today: discussing The Super Smash Bros. series and games in general; mostly hypothetical things; yes, I realize I have illogical reasoning when it comes to games*
Me: I'm still mourning the loss of Roy. :crying: Why does Marth always get to stay? I don't even like him. Him and his sister's stupid tiara!
Bro:  You have a problem with the tiara?
Me: Yes! Why does he keep wearing it? She's dead and it's creepy.
Bro:  Maybe he just wanted to be pretty like a princess.
Me: If it was just that, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But, it's not why he wears it.
Bro: So it's okay for him to wear a tiara to be pretty, but not just because he can?
Me: Yes.
Bro:
Me: :sarcasm:
Bro: Who do you think should be in later Smash Bros. games? From Fire Emblem, I mean.
Me: I know who I would pick, even though it makes absolutely no sense, just because it would be hilarious to see him there.
Bro: Who?
Me: Guess.
Bro: From which game?
Me: It would have to be one of the newer ones for Smash Bros.
Bro: So, Awakening, then?
Me: Yeah.
Bro: Hmm... Lon'qu?
Me: He'd be good, but that's not who I was thinking of. I'm biased, remember.
Bro: Gaius...?
Me: Ooh, no, but that's good. I completely forgot about Gaius. :XD:
Bro: It would make no sense for him to be there.
Me:
:hooray: I know~ That's what makes it hilarious~ -I meant Henry, though. It would be hilarious to see Henry there. He shouldn't be, but it would be awesome.
Bro: You can't say Henry.
Me: What? Why not?
Bro: Bryce Papenbrook's Henry. He'd be in everything.
Me: Aw, fuck, I forgot about that. Shit.
Bro: :lmao:
Me: Ugh, he's infecting almost everything now anyway, just let him have it. Just take everything, Bryce Papenbrook. Just take it all. I'm just giving it to you now.
:worship:
Bro: :lmao:
